Ask any Melbournian and chances are, coffee is part of their daily routine in one way, shape, or form. CNN even announced Melbourne as one of the top ten best places to get coffee in honour of International Coffee Day 2020. Needless to say, coffee culture is a strong piece of this city’s DNA, weaved in amongst cycling and art.
Standing out proudly in Melbourne’s coffee scene, is Collingwood-based Proud Mary Coffee Roasters, who love cycling. MAAP creates technical cycling apparel by cyclists, for cyclists, and loves coffee. So it’s only fitting that we joined forces to bring you everything we love about Melbourne, in this special release.
Grown by Juana Gallardo and her family in the remote mountains of San José de Alban, Nariño, this honey processed Colombia variety is a unique treat. The region's cool and misty micro-climates provide the perfect conditions for developing natural sweetness and complex acidity. Picked then slowly dried on raised beds, this coffee has a thick and syrupy texture with ripe and juicy flavours of peach and nectarine.
From day one, we’ve been strong supporters of Proud Mary, stocking their coffee in our North Melbourne store, laying the foundations for a partnership that would evolve into combining both companies' passions—cycling and coffee; a sentiment echoed by both Melbourne-born brands.
Available now until Friday 30th July or until sold out, via MAAP Headquarters in Melbourne, or Proud Mary Coffee online.
