Senior Garment Technician

ABOUT YOU:
- A knowledge and passion for technical garment construction, garment fit and functionality.
Significant experience working as a garment technician on technical products (men’s and women’s) in the active space.
- Experience and understanding of pattern making and the ability to apply that knowledge to a variety of knit and woven fabrications.
- Experience and understanding of pattern grading and setting grade rules.
- Expertise across garment tech standards e.g., sizing, grade rules, tolerances, block library, construction consistency, and measuring standards.
- High attention to detail and ability to work on multiple collections simultaneously developing high complexity styles.
Exceptional time management skills, working to a critical path.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Size spec & Tech Pack Creation
- Building out Tech Packs in PLM, including:
- Size specs, including all POM, grade rules and tolerances
- Creating measurement sketches
- Creating construction page with all required annotations
- Creating artwork placement pages
- Care labels, packaging and labelling
- Development notes for suppliers to follow e.g., block, reference sample info
- Handover of complete tech pack to supplier with all required reference samples and instructions
- Request sampling and provide ongoing support to supplier with answering any questions related to garment spec and construction

Sampling and fitting
- Track development samples submission and report on status at weekly Product meeting.
- Receive all samples, check and measure.
- Run fittings for all allocated styles.
- Process fit comments and issue to suppliers.
- Adjust spec as needed following fitting.
- Input fit comments with any necessary images and diagrams to ensure clear communication on expectations for next sample round.
- Tech Pack Maintenance throughout process.

Tracking samples
- Manage sampling dates with suppliers and track all sampling.
- Input sample due dates/comments sent dates into sample tracker.
- Develop tools and clear communication to enhance suppliers’ capabilities and fast track approval process.

Wear testing
- Conduct wear testing on athletes, keep record of all feedback and make fit and construction improvements where necessary.

PP Sample Approval
- Sign off all allocated styles to move into bulk production, working with production team as required.

Sample keeping
- Maintain sample library, and ensure all development samples are marked and are easy to identify.

Quality assurance
- Assist the production team in resolving any quality assurance breaches as required.
