As MAAP's APAC Country Marketing Manager, you'll drive how the brand shows up across Australia and key markets throughout Asia. Based at our global HQ in Melbourne, you'll connect global brand strategy with local riders, communities and partners - building brand love while delivering on the business objectives that matter.
Working closely with MAAP's global marketing team and Country Marketing Managers in North America and the UK/Europe, you'll lead localised campaigns, events, wholesale marketing and ambassador programs that bring riders together around bikes. The Role
Reporting to the SVP Marketing & Digital and leading an APAC Marketing Coordinator, you'll own MAAP's marketing strategy, planning and execution across Australia and Asia. As a brand guardian, you'll maintain brand integrity across every channel while driving acquisition and retention in your local markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Campaigns - Develop and execute localised marketing strategies and integrated campaigns across digital, social, wholesale, events, partnerships and PR, aligned to MAAP's global brand.
- Brand Building - Grow MAAP's presence across the region through creative, meaningful initiatives that serve the rider in a differentiated way.
- MAAP LaB Marketing - Partner with the Global MAAP LaB team to drive store awareness and engagement through relevant, measurable tactics.
- Community & Ambassadors - Build and nurture relationships with local athletes, influencers and partners, growing a network of brand ambassadors who proudly represent MAAP on the road.
- Events & Activations - Manage end-to-end activation of MAAP owned and sponsored events that drive growth, loyalty and brand equity.
- Wholesale Marketing - Lead marketing opportunities for regional wholesale partners and the Asia distributor network, including community rides and activations.
- PR & Partnerships - Work alongside MAAP's PR agency to drive earned media and build brand familiarity.
- Performance & Operations - Manage the APAC marketing budget and calendar, tracking performance and sharing insights to optimise future activity.
About You
You're a marketing professional who understands both brand and community, and you're passionate about cycling culture.
We're looking for someone who has:
- 5+ years' experience in marketing, with a focus on brand management, campaign go-to-market, partnerships or digital marketing
- Strong knowledge and passion for the cycling industry - knowledge of streetwear and fashion is a plus
- A track record of developing and executing campaigns and activations with measurable results
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate a diverse team
- A creative mindset with a strong eye for design and engaging content
- Analytical ability to interpret data and drive informed decisions
- Proficiency across digital marketing - SEO, SEM, social advertising, email - plus familiarity with CRM and analytics tools
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment managing multiple projects at once
- Experience across cycling, sport, performance apparel or lifestyle brands is highly desirable.
Location
This role is based at MAAP's global HQ in Melbourne, with some travel required across the region to support retail, wholesale, events and community initiatives.
