Bring the MAAP brand to life across APAC, supporting regional campaigns, events, partnerships and community activations that connect riders through performance, culture and creativity.
MAAP was born in Melbourne from an obsession with technical performance, progressive design and cycling culture. We create products and experiences that push the sport forward and bring people together around bikes.
We’re looking for an APAC Regional Marketing Coordinator to help bring the MAAP brand to life across Australia and key markets throughout Asia.
Working closely with the APAC Country Marketing Manager, you’ll support the planning and execution of localised campaigns, events, partnerships, retail initiatives and community activations. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands cycling culture, has strong marketing foundations and enjoys turning ideas into well-executed experiences.
What you'll do
You’ll help execute MAAP’s regional marketing plan by adapting global campaigns and product launches for local audiences across APAC.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting integrated regional campaigns across digital, social media, retail, wholesale, events, partnerships and PR
- Localising global brand campaigns, product go-to-market plans and content for APAC audiences
- Driving awareness and engagement for MAAP LaBs through local events, partnerships and PR opportunities
- Supporting the management of MAAP’s APAC Ambassador Program and relationships with athletes, advocates, cycling communities and wholesale partners
- Assisting with the end-to-end planning and delivery of MAAP-owned and sponsored events, rides and activations
- Executing marketing opportunities with wholesale partners in Australia and distributors throughout Asia
- Building relationships with media, industry partners, event organisers, influencers and local cycling communities
- Collaborating with Product, Creative, Retail, Sales, eCommerce, Customer Service and Operations teams
- Maintaining the APAC marketing calendar and keeping regional and global stakeholders informed of upcoming activities
- Tracking regional marketing expenditure and supporting effective budget management and campaign reporting
- Monitoring market trends, customer behaviour, competitor activity and emerging marketing opportunities
- The role is based at MAAP’s global headquarters in Port Melbourne and will involve attending and hosting activations at our Melbourne LaB and other locations. Some interstate travel, evening work and occasional weekend attendance will be required.
What you'll bring
You’re highly organised, commercially aware and comfortable working across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. You understand that strong regional marketing requires both creative thinking and disciplined execution.
You’ll bring:
- Two to three years’ experience in a marketing role, ideally across experiential marketing, retail marketing, campaign execution, partnerships or digital marketing
- A genuine passion for road and/or gravel cycling, with an active connection to cycling culture
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience coordinating campaigns, events, content or brand activations
- Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
- A creative mindset and strong eye for brand, design and culturally relevant content
- The ability to manage competing priorities, timelines and operational details
- An understanding of the cycling industry, its products, customers and communities
- Familiarity with marketing platforms, tools and industry best practices
- A relevant tertiary qualification in marketing or an equivalent discipline
- A current driver’s licence and confidence driving a manual vehicle
- Experience within cycling, performance apparel, fashion, streetwear or a premium consumer brand will be highly regarded.
Why MAAP
At MAAP, the job is never done. We create, push the pace and revel in the challenge. You’ll join a global team that values creativity, performance, collaboration and meaningful impact - on and off the bike.
This is an opportunity to help shape how MAAP shows up across APAC, creating campaigns and experiences that strengthen our connection with riders, communities and partners throughout the region.
