Junior Garment Technician
MAAP continues to blur the space between fashion and sport, combining design and aesthetics with premium, high performance cycling apparel.

As we continue to scale globally, we are excited to announce the creation of this new role in our Product team, reporting to to our Product Design and Development Manager.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Technical understanding of fit and garment construction, ideally within the activewear space
  • Excellent communications skills and a willingness to learn and grow within our team
  • Strong organisation and time management skills, along with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Diploma in Fashion Technology highly regarded
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role beneficial

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILTY

Assisting Senior Garment Technicians with:

Tech packs - carryover styles

• Generating and sending tech packs to factories for carryover styles and requesting PPS, making sure information on tech pack is complete and accurate

• Maintaining tech packs for any changes and re-sending updated tech packs to suppliers when required

PPS - carryover styles

• Tracking PPS for carryover styles and flagging any delays with Product Design and Development Manager

• Measuring all PPS and checking for construction, artwork placement and colour

• Fitting PPS on fit models

• Sending PPS comments to factories and approving styles to bulk production

Top of bulk samples - carryover styles

• Tracking samples to make sure they are sent on time

• Measuring and checking top of bulk samples against approved PPS and any comments made for bulk production. Immediately flagging any out of tolerance measurements or construction issues with Product Design and Development Manager

Photo samples

• Checking all photo samples against approved PPS for construction, artwork and colour before handing over to Marketing Team

• Advising Marketing Team of any discrepancies between photo sample and bulk

Sample keeping

• Maintain sample library, ensure all development samples are marked and are easy to identify

As well as:

• Measuring and checking garment samples

• Assisting in fittings when required
