The bond between bike and rider is something quirky and at times a little hard to explain. Long and hard days in the saddle make us closer, fast and eye-watering descents act as reminders, and the challenging terrain we find ourselves in together is what solidifies our decision – to live life on two wheels.
It’s the bike that took him to the top step of the podium in Emporia, and a few others since, the one he’s put countless hours on in the hopes of returning again this year. It forms part of his privateer journey that’s already written, and waits ready, to help script this weekends’ chapter.
