Germany gets a lot of things right. Beer. Precision. Cycling. With 1,200 kms of dedicated bike lanes in Munich, it’s one of the most advanced cycling systems in the world. And just 60km outside the city lie the Bavarian Alps, perfect for testing yourself in the mountains. Or, shoot 15km outside the city for a classic Lake Starnberg loop. If you’re there in October, you’re in for a treat.

The first 50 riders that register for the ride will receive a free limited-edition and Munich-specific cap.

HUMBACHER BERG RIDE

Total distance: 94.8km | Elevation gain: 1048m

Meet for coffee at Bikedress (Ohlmüllerstraße 7) at 8am before we all roll out together at 8.30am. A demanding route, you’ll burn through that coffee pretty quick and you’ll definitely earn that post-ride treat. With a steady ascent for the first 22kms, you’ll warm up the legs before hitting a sequence of rollers and two solid bergs maxing out at 750m at around the 55km mark. Though mostly downhill on the way back to Bikedress, you’ll need some gas in the tank for the return.
