APAC Regional Marketing Coordinator

The position is based at MAAP’s global HQ, Port Melbourne. However, the position will also be required to attend/host events at other locations as part of its employment responsibilities and duties, including MAAP’s flagship retail store in Collingwood, Melbourne, plus events and activations in Melbourne and potentially interstate, this includes during the week and occasional weekends.


  • A passionate cyclist with a demonstrated history of road and/or gravel cycling.
  • 2 to 3+ years in a similar marketing role, preferably in the cycling or fashion industries.
  • Bachelor of Marketing degree, or equivalent.
  • Driver's license, manual driving skills/license required.

Position Scope: 

The APAC Regional Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the APAC Country Marketing Manager in driving MAAP’s marketing efforts and growth in the APAC market. This includes the planning and execution of localised marketing activities for Australia and key markets across Asia to assist in meaningfully growing brand love while achieving global business objectives. 

Key Qualities: 

The position requires an individual who can bring: 

  • 2 to 3+ years experience in a similar marketing role, with a focus on experiential marketing, retail marketing, campaign go-to markets, partnerships or digital marketing.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas and plans clearly and concisely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and the ability to develop engaging marketing content and fresh ideas. Ability to think outside the box and bring new perspectives. 
  • Organised and with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships, motivate, and inspire the team around them.
  • Strong knowledge and passion for the cycling industry, including familiarity with cycling products, trends, and customer segments. Additional knowledge of the streetwear and fashion industries is preferred, but not essential.
  • Proficient in marketing techniques and best practices. Including knowledge of relevant marketing tools, platforms, and software.
  • Creative thinker, collaborator and tastemaker. 

Position Responsibilities 

  • Strategy: Execution of the MAAP Marketing Plan for the APAC region, through the implementation of localised brand strategy, localising global brand campaigns and product go-to markets.
  • Campaign Management: Execute, and assist with integrated country marketing campaigns and initiatives for the APAC region across multiple channels, including wholesale, digital, social media, events, partnerships, and PR/comms.
  • MAAP LaB Marketing: Support the localised marketing plan to continually drive MAAP LaB’s store awareness and engagement through local events, partnerships and PR opportunities across the APAC region. 
  • Community Engagement: Assist in the management and maintenance of MAAP’s APAC Ambassador Program. Engaging with athletes, brand advocates and wholesale accounts in the region to help cultivate a truly vibrant community within APAC that embodies the MAAP brand and core values. 
  • Events: Assist in planning and execution of on-the-ground tactical events to simultaneously drive new customer growth, loyalty and brand equity, including the development and/or appraisal plus assisting in the end-to-end activation of both MAAP-owned and MAAP-sponsored events in the APAC region.
  • Campaign and Content Localization: Assist in the planning and development of relevant campaigns, initiatives and content that resonates with the local audience.
  • Wholesale Marketing: Execution of marketing opportunities for MAAP’s regional Wholesale partners in Australia and Distributor network (across Asia), including community activations, rides and other events that bring people together around bikes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, creative, sales, eComm and customer support, to ensure a cohesive and effective market approach.
  • Budget Management: Assist and manage the local marketing budget, ensuring activities are planned and tracked to fit within budget and achieve maximum ROI.
  • Operations: Assist and keep informed the APAC marketing calendar, keeping local and global teams abreast of future marketing activities and opportunities connected to relevant global and regional product, business and cultural moments. 


  • Working with the APAC Country Marketing Manager:
  • Help cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media outlets, industry influencers, event organizers, and cycling communities, to enhance brand visibility and secure strategic partnerships.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing, and proactively recommend innovative approaches to drive continuous improvement.
  • Actively survey the market to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities, and use this information to inform marketing strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including data protection and advertising standards, in all marketing activities.
  • As a 'brand guardian', the APAC Regional Marketing Coordinator must act as an official representative of MAAP, conducting themselves in a professional manner reflective of the brand, with members of the community at all times.
  • The roles and responsibilities of this position are fluid and subject to change. The role shall perform other tasks as directed and discussed.
