Today we are proud to release the new MAAP x Suplest Edge/3, a high performance road shoe created by Swiss shoe manufacturers Suplest.
Suplest are in their own words ‘probably the smallest premium cycling shoe company in the world’, and have been producing high quality performance footwear since 2007.
Like MAAP, Suplest started out as two friends that wanted a more relevant product than what they could find in the market. Then and now, Robert Gehrig and Daniel Balmer are driven by a passion for creating premium products that embody simplicity, while upholding the Swiss reputation for quality.
"We have been following MAAP for a while. We love the clean, fresh, design. Also the fact that its a young, modern and dynamic brand is something we like. We think it's a great match." - Daniel Balmer, co-founder, Suplest.
"We stand for quality, design, and passion and that's what we feel about MAAP too. The MAAP edition is very cool, fresh, and clean. Just as we like it!"
The MAAP Edge/3 is a high performance orientated shoe which is still super comfortable. The core of the Edge/3 is the unique Ergo 360° cycling last which is specifically moulded to the footprint. The stiff carbon outsole ensures that the power gets transferred directly onto the pedals. The upper construction is a supple and comfortable micro fiber, which allows the foot to breathe and reduces hotspots. The cycling specific foot beds are supplied by Solestar which ensure stability, power transfer and comfort. The textile combination features highly reflective panels for increased visibility.
"Our MAAP road team had been wearing the Edge/3 model for the last 6 months and were super happy with the combination of performance and comfort that the shoe offered. When we decided to work on the collaboration our challenge was to bring a MAAP identity to an already beautifully designed product." - Oliver Cousins, co-founder, MAAP.
The MAAP Edge/3 is available now from maap.cc. It is also available through several of our retailers globally, please check with local stockists for availability.
